There is 3x more work than there should be for a 2 credit course. I am drowning in this class and spend more time on it than my core classes for my LAI degree. The grading is harsh and assignments that are a lot of work are only worth a few points. There are too many discussions and responding to 3 classmates when everyone wrote about the same topic is very difficult. We have 2 discussion board assignments per week, one of which is usually a presentation along with 3 replies to each along with the other assignments. I have spend at least 18-20 hours a week on this course just trying to keep up. I have not been able pay attention to the course that is actually in my curriculum. Many of the instructions are very confusing. I have spoke with a few other class members and they feel the same and a couple dropped the class when they discovered the workload. Given this is a 2 credit course,I did not expect the amount of work required and would not have chose this course as an elective.
