Also, I would have liked to see more vaccination information provided, we are often only told when specific vaccines are to be given, but no discussion on alternatives or reporting adverse vaccine events. In a time where vaccinations have become a hot topic. All of the hot topics and ways to approach them should be discussed in these core courses. Not all patients will want to be vaccinated. I think addressing these situations prior will help us as providers to be more prepared and understanding. Rather just knowing when they are given. This class spends a lot of time on reviewing recommended guidelines for primary care health providers and as a student a lot of this information is new and requires much more time reading the information. In addition to the readings, I think it would be helpful if resources listed were maybe broken down into required reading vs recommended. Even with going through much of the reading material, I find it hard to figure out what is expected of me to really know for exams/quizzes. If the reading material is to stay the same I would strongly suggest to future students, at the beginning of the semester, that the reading material is more important than the lectures themselves. |

Although the information is useful, I find that the exams/quizzes ask much more specific questions. This course requires a lot of reading each weeks which becomes challenging to get through on top of lectures, group and individual assignments. This class spends a lot of time on reviewing recommended guidelines for primary care health providers and as a student a lot of this information is new and requires much more time reading the information.
