For example, going over the requirements to get into a graduate program. We all know that, we all went through it. Also, going over the roles of different NPs. You should know that by now if you are in the program. Lastly, going over the roles of other professions. We already have an IPE class, we don't need the information repeated. We had a discussion board about NPs getting FPA and not being respected as a profession. Yet, we are spending our time on things like this rather than things to make us better providers. I don't think they are doing this in medical school or in PA school. If we want to be on the same standards as them, we need to get rid of fluff classes like this. The content in this class could have been covered in a couple of weeks. Lastly, material has been geared to working in Michigan as an NP. I understand the school is in Michigan, but there are people from out of state or planning to move out of state after this. It is okay to use Michigan, but you should also provide information on another state or two as Michigan is not the standard for practicing as an NP. | |||||

There is no search function. You can not easily copy content to save to notes or for auditory readers. You can view entire module on one page. Discussion tabs often don’t load. Sometimes there is a file size limit which seems arbitrarily set because it doesn’t tell you the limit until you have already recorded a video or file. Then you find out the format is not supported which is also not listed on the submission page. Sometime I am searching fir ways to convert file types or reduce file sizes. I use a Mac so it’s not like I’m using Linux bash scripts in terminal and some crazy software. | 1 | C I can’t access free software that Michigan says is free to students. Duo 2FA literally requires a prompt for merely opening a new tab. I love security and applaud the 2FA but it’s overkill and even accessing library database is cumbersome. There was no orientation to resources like I feel in person students or even other graduate program get. The ability to work ahead is important to us as we juggle work and school, especially when we know we have heavy work weeks that we want to get schoolwork due that same week done ahead of time. I understand maybe not submitting work ahead of time, but the ability to access the modules and at least get assignments ready so all we have to do is submit is really important. | |||||

Student: 28I can’t access free software that Michigan says is free to students. Duo 2FA literally requires a prompt for merely opening a new tab. I love security and applaud the 2FA but it’s overkill and even accessing library database is cumbersome. There was no orientation to resources like I feel in person students or even other graduate program get. Feels like I am paying Michigan price for a Coursera class.

Student: 11A lot of the content reviewed in this class is not time spent well. For example, going over the requirements to get into a graduate program. We all know that, we all went through it. Also, going over the roles of different NPs. You should know that by now if you are in the program. Lastly, going over the roles of other professions. We already have an IPE class, we don't need the information repeated. We had a discussion board about NPs getting FPA and not being respected as a profession. Yet, we are spending our time on things like this rather than things to make us better providers. I don't think they are doing this in medical school or in PA school. If we want to be on the same standards as them, we need to get rid of fluff classes like this. The content in this class could have been covered in a couple of weeks. Lastly, material has been geared to working in Michigan as an NP. I understand the school is in Michigan, but there are people from out of state or planning to move out of state after this. It is okay to use Michigan, but you should also provide information on another state or two as Michigan is not the standard for practicing as an NP.

Student: 28Doesn’t feel like top tier graduate program. Feels like I might as well take Coursera or cheap online classes. No effort is made to assist distance students in any normal type of graduate success programs. No access to nursing research done at Michigan.
