It's almost too fast-paced. Learning, mastering, and completing conquering each system assessment is really difficult because it is on a weekly basis. I feel like I can't memorize each one and then confidently learn a new one and master it, all within a week's time. Maybe the HEENT module could have been 2 weeks? It is a LOT to memorize and have proficiently mastered in 1 week. It was a huge blow to my confidence right off the bat that it was so difficult to do the HEENT check off completely perfectly, and completely by memory. Also, I feel like I'm never going to remember all of these assessment steps when it comes to the final assessment check off. In the real world, most health record documentation (whether it's paper or electronic), has cues to remind you which assessment steps should be performed. You would never be expected to just *remember* all the steps of every health assessment until you got more and more proficient with experience. Unfortunately, I am not fully proficient because I do not have the experience to have everything memorized. Maybe it would be more like the real world if during our check offs we could reference our "documentation checklist", as new grads we probably will in practice. | |||||

Student: 1I like that I was paired with a lab partner who I have been collaborating with. I like the small lab groups where I feel more comfortable participating, and my lab instructor Dr. Gultekin is excellent. I asked one question once in a discussion board and Dr. Jones told me she answered my question in an office hours and to review that recording, when I was in the office hours live and am trying my absolute best to keep up with the volume of this course.
