There are way too many assignments per week. I have talked to many class members and everyone agrees that it is way too much to manage. You are not able to learn or engage with the material, you are just working to complete all the assignments. We are spending more time than we should for the credit load. On zooms students have tried to bring up the subject of the work load and she disregards it to just be how it is. The other classes in the program are not like this! Many students are having similar issues with the course and with the assignments and she is not receptive to their questions or tips to improve the assignments or student experience. She becomes defensive and argues with the students that are trying to provide constructive feedback or question policy or grading that are not clear. There also seems to be a large disconnect between lab instructors and course lead, that results in conflicting information and expectations. This is an issue because we are digital, everything needs to be clearly defined because we cannot just pop in and talk to our professor. Please listen to us and please be open to the student feedback. This class is by far the most poorly laid out class of the program yet. This class is not easy to navigate. There is too many assignments and expectations are not always clear. The module layout is confusing and not easy to find the information that corresponds to the assignments. Shadow health takes a tremendous amount of time and does not hold the value it should for the time it takes. The check-offs take a lot of time to memorize and find participants to practice, which is fine and understandable but we are also aware that the in person cohort does not have to do the entire check offs and these take a tremendous amount of time. Please consider the differences and the impacts that bears on the digital students. This class needs revision. Please do this before the next digital cohort has to take this class. Please listen to the students. We understand that there is criteria that must be met but I am certain that there is a better way to present this material and certainly to pace it. | ||
