The discussion board in Canvas is difficult to use. If you post a question, there is a delay notice that your question was answered, or that there was a response. I gave up trying to use it as a communication tool the first couple weeks of class, yet the professor and TA still use it. Very frustrating, even after I responded to one conversation that there is a delay and lack of notification in receiving responses. |

There is way too much information every week for an 18 minute 10 question quiz. More time should be allowed for the quizzes to think through the questions and actually test your understanding. With the 18 minutes I feel like I am rushing through and picking an answer so that I don't run out of time and then I am not thinking through my answers. I also wish that one quiz would be dropped or there was opportunity to get points back as this is a major part of our grade and the other major part of our grade is group dependent. |

There is way too much content for a weekly 10 point quiz, I feel as though I am taking a midterm exam every week. Do not understand what exactly the professor is looking for, gives us very detailed information in modules, but says expects just overview knowledge, but then quizzes us on detailed information. Every other online class I have has "check in" meetings or a set up zoom with professor to ask questions/work through information and this class has nothing, it would be very helpful to be able to have a scheduled touch-base with the professor to be able to talk about "muddy points". |

I would prefer longer lecture videos rather than lecture notes to read off of and YouTube videos. Power Points available to the students would also be helpful. Sometimes I wonder how much this professor is getting paid for us to teach the class ourselves... |

Not enough time for quizzes. Does not feel comfortable going to staff for additional help when necessary having to resort to classmates. I feel as though I am not grasping the course content and have had to purchase other course material to better understand the pathophysiology much better to improve my grade instead of just listen to lecture to help me study. |

The videos in her modules that are meant to illuminate concepts and help students understand in simpler terms, are instead actively confusing and frustrating, as she uses terminology that complicates concepts further. Likewise, wording of quiz questions are unnecessarily complex and misleading. The material covered on quizzes do not always correlate with the recommended study guide questions. Even when I feel as though I am grasping the overall concepts of a module, the questions are so specific and seem to be purposefully subtle and difficult. |

The faculty acknowledged early on that she is in Baltimore and was not readily available to be reached. This class is so much work for so little reward. Faculty teaches at a level that presumes intimate background knowledge, not just knowledge students may have had entering the course. The lead professor has been unprofessional to students in replies to email and the course feels useless, like busy work. |

I paid a lot of money to go to school here and I don't appreciate being referred to free YouTube videos as part of the course. I am paying to learn what I need to know for my career. Being given resources I could find on my own instead of real lectures on pertinent material is a slap in the face. |

This course is huge part of the background knowledge we need to be successful in this field. The material is complex and challenging. I feel there is not enough time to complete these complex of the topics and fully understand the topic addressed in a week periods. I feel the quizzes do not appropriately test our knowledge of the material by only having 10 questions that must be completed in 18 minutes. The questions are complex and need appropriate time to accurately think through the question. I feel like the teacher does not test fairly. She like to change words on the test to trick the students. I feel like if she is going to give straight forward questions and answers then she should also have straight forward words in the test. I just felt like I was tricked. Also, there is so much materials for reviewing in this course that I feel it should not be taught together with Pharm 620 in the same semester. I am on the verge of failing in both of these classes and I do not believe that its a good set of class to be put together. |

Collaborating with peers is hard over canvas collaboration. If I didn't have similar peers in other classes, I would feel little to no interaction with other class members. Questions that are asked by studenst over a discussion boards are not answered due to grading reasoning or directed to the module content. |

Major content that I will be required to know for my boards was self taught with little to no supplemental help from this course or its professors. Feedback on the two assignments that required manual grading took them three weeks to give us feedback. I hope feedback from my experience helps to faciliate change for better experiences in the future for students. |

Professor's additional lectures in my opinion does not contribute additionally to the content. A lot of the videos is reading off the information on the module. In addition, I had a classmate that emailed the professor saying that she was dealing with a personal matter in the hospital and the professor accidentally tagged her in a email that was meant to be sent to a teaching assistant saying some very rude and unprofessional statements about the student. I will say though as soon the professor realized her mistake she did apologize personally. I understand people make mistakes, but it can hinder a students self confidence when a person in higher authority is unprofessional. All in all, I believe our professor is very intelligent and has a strong passion for teaching. |

Student: 4I would appreciate more of a presence from faculty in this course.
Student: 9I have no idea who the additional staff for this class even are besides the professor.
Student: 14The videos in her modules that are meant to illuminate concepts and help students understand in simpler terms, are instead actively confusing and frustrating, as she uses terminology that complicates concepts further. Likewise, wording of quiz questions are unnecessarily complex and misleading. The material covered on quizzes do not always correlate with the recommended study guide questions. Even when I feel as though I am grasping the overall concepts of a module, the questions are so specific and seem to be purposefully subtle and difficult.
Student: 16Faculty are present in the course. But, not directly present in teaching the material. I feel that we frequently receive messages or notifications for the course. But, I could really benefit from a more traditional lecture type modules vs reading modules.

I gave up trying to use it as a communication tool the first couple weeks of class, yet the professor and TA still use it. Very frustrating, even after I responded to one conversation that there is a delay and lack of notification in receiving responses.
